The Chair's Not There Series.

This group of drawings came out of my experiments at developing depth in a two dimensional image.
Based on Hans Hoffman's theory that the five most important lines in an image are the four sides and then the fifth line going back into space. The form then emerges as you work from within the space developing the image. It is a very interesting way to draw, drawing the space around the object instead of focusing on the object itself.
